The Oyster Box Hotel

I love travelling more than I love indulging in some delicious sushi and sipping on a glass of Rosé – and I love doing that, a lot! Going to the luxury sea-facing hotel, ‘The Oyster Box’ in Durban, satisfies both my likes instantly! I’ve been really spoilt to spend quite a bit of time there with my husband’s work commitments, so I’d like to share my experience of feeling like I’ve been transported to Mauritius (but with much better service!) ; with the aromas and smells of the Frangipani trees and beautiful tropical flowers all over the best groomed garden I have ever come across, at any hotel.

For those that are big on hygiene, even your TV remote controls comes packaged and sanitized in your room! Not one thing goes unnoticed; from ordering your own personalized pillow preference you require (whether it’s feather, down, foam or goose inners).

Did I mention the finest quality linen and towels makes this hotel fit for royalty?  The likes of Prince William, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco and many other film stars make this their choice of stay when in town. But let’s not forget the biggest celebrity that lives there permanently – Skebanga the cat which the hotel is mostly known for and loved by all the guests.

So if you haven’t already started saving up your pennies by my third sentence, start doing so now.. it’s a MUST, MUST visit to spoil yourself for a memory to treasure forever…or if anything, wish you can come back as Skebanga in your next life!

Love,
